GoalBrain ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the GoalBrain app ("App").

1. Information We Collect

GoalBrain is designed to work primarily offline and collects minimal data.

• Player names & avatars — stored locally on your device only, never uploaded.
• Game statistics — XP, streaks, match history — stored locally on your device only.
• Preferences — sound, haptics, theme settings — stored locally on your device only.
• Apple Sign-In data — if you choose to sign in with Apple, we collect your name, email address, and Apple User ID. This is stored locally on your device and used to sync your stats across devices. You can skip this and play as a guest.
• Photos/Videos — if you choose to set a player avatar, the app accesses your photo library or camera. Images are stored locally and are never uploaded to our servers.
• Purchase status — whether GoalBrain Pro is active, managed by RevenueCat (see below).
• Push notification token — if you grant notification permission, a device token is shared with Firebase to deliver notifications.
• Advertising identifier (IDFA) — if you allow tracking, Google AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads.
• Crash reports — if the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects anonymized diagnostic data such as device model, OS version, and crash stack trace to help us fix bugs.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchases and subscription status. Privacy Policy ↗
• Firebase (Google) — used for push notifications (FCM). Firebase Analytics may collect anonymized usage information such as app launches, screen views, and feature interactions to help improve the App. Privacy Policy ↗
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — automatically collects crash reports including device model, OS version, and anonymized stack traces when the app crashes. No personally identifiable information is included. Privacy Policy ↗
• Google AdMob — displays ads to free users. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (IDFA) as described in their privacy policy. Privacy Policy ↗
• Sign in with Apple — optional authentication service provided by Apple. Privacy Policy ↗
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — used to manage ad consent where required by privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR). Collects consent preferences only. Privacy Policy ↗

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not access your contacts or microphone.

4. Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, GoalBrain may send you push notifications about new features, daily challenges, and tournament reminders via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable notifications at any time from your device Settings → Notifications → GoalBrain.

5. In-App Purchases

GoalBrain Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify purchase status. We do not store your payment information — all billing is handled by Apple.

6. Advertising

Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use advertising identifiers (IDFA) to show relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking from your device Settings → Privacy → Tracking. GoalBrain Pro removes all ads.

7. App Tracking Transparency

Where required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, GoalBrain will request your permission before allowing third-party advertising services to track your activity across apps and websites. You may change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

8. Children's Privacy

GoalBrain does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Third-party services such as Google AdMob may collect certain device identifiers as described in their own privacy policies. The app is rated 4+ and contains no user-generated content. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Retention

All game data (names, stats, preferences) is stored exclusively on your device. Data stored locally is generally removed when the app is deleted, unless backed up by your device operating system or cloud backup services (e.g. iCloud).

10. Your Rights

Most game data is stored locally on your device and removed when the app is deleted. Apple Sign-In data (name, email, user ID) is also stored locally. If you wish to remove all data, delete the app or contact us.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
